treat each other like you like each other.
It astonishes me how some couples act. Situation: He doesn't approve of something she has done and treats her like a child about it, gets all angry and frustrated with her because it wasn't done her way. She in return treats him disrespectfully by bashing on him or belittling him. Really?!?!
You can express that you don't agree without shoving your fist into a wall and slamming your foot down. You can respect that although it may be silly the man of the house just wants to protect and serve. Don't step on his lifeline.
I've seen so many struggling couples lately and most if it is because they just want life to go their way. The whole "My way or the highway" doesn't apply anywhere in marriage and is a very selfish attitude. There can be so much growth in our marriages if we would just learn to respect each other, knowing neither is perfect. We have to allow each other the outlet they need or else they will seek it elsewhere or just become agitated. We don't all have the same needs and as a loving partner we need to accept that our spouse may have needs that we don't have or may not even understand. Get over it! The world does not revolve around your needs and desires!
Wow I'm getting off on a little tangent, my bad. But it really hurts me that people would treat each other in such away that only causes them their own demise.
