Another Conviction

Wow, God is good, and he keeps to his word.  Which sometimes means well you get what you asked for.

Blessed is the man whom God corrects; so do not despise the discipline of the Almighty. For he wounds, but he also binds up; he injures, but his hands also heal. (Job 5:17-18)

So we have been fighting about getting up earlier.  If I'm sleeping when my husband gets up I can not serve him.  That was the main point.  However, I also complained that it was difficult for me to get the house work done when I was teaching the children.  So he said "Do it before they get up - problem solved!)   So I can serve my husband, do my housework, and my bible study and worship before the kids even get up in the morning - it's perfect! Except for one thing, I have to get my lazy but out of bed before 7 in the morning.  Sheesh.

This morning I got a talking to from my heavenly Daddy at about 2am.  "I have given you a whole week of full night sleep and you only got up early ONCE.  Tonight I am going to remind you."  Poor Veronica didn't sleep well at all, she had to go potty and then I think she was having a bad dream cuz she just wanted to sit in my lap and snuggle.  Up and down, up and down, up and down from 10pm to 230am.  I prayed over her, rebuked her insomnia and loved on her and God told me what I needed to hear.

Yesterday the kitchen needed to be cleaned BADLY!  Jannel had an attitude from the very first breath out of her mouth.  Those two things don't go well together.  The morning would have gone much better if I could have sat with her while she did her work but instead we butted heads very hard as I shouted I have to do my work and you have to do yours.  All of which could have been avoided if I had simply got up that morning and done this dishes when Brian had gone off to work.

Ok I get it.  Well I've got it before just have a hard time following through with it.  What can I say my bed is comfy.  I asked him to break me of my laziness and God is faithful.

If you are not disciplined (and everyone undergoes discipline), then you are illegitimate children and not true sons.
(Hebrews 12:8) - OUCH!
