Respect for books, happy mamma moment.

We have gone through many different phases of books in our house.  It started off rather odd for myself, because at the time I didn't enjoy reading of any kind.  Well things have changed.  On my oldest's 3rd birthday she got 6 books (or so) and it was easy to teach her proper respect for those books.  If she didn't, well the books would just go away.  6 years later... that would require a whole room and more than a days efforts lol.  We have shelves in most every room, science books, history books, classic books, spiritual books, beginner reading book and story books and probably much more I'm just lumping everything together.  My younger two have never had the same respect for books, they haven't enjoyed stories as much and in general just didn't get what all the fuss was about.
Well rather it was intentional or just accidental (or maybe a little bit of both!) Tonight as I go to check on them, the light is on... imagine that lol.  To my surprise at the end or above each bed was their pile of reads.  Jannel had one crunched in her arms that had to be removed, flattened and place with the rest of her pile.  Veronica had one under the covers with her as well.  I just thought the whole thing was kinda cool.  That ah ha moment, that some how amid the chaos of our days their picking up something other than what I'm telling them.  They really do learn by watching our example.  Eventually we'll put some shelves in their room but its such a tight space we're taking our time on it.  Anyhow just thought I'd share my happy mamma moment.   Good Night
