Don't miss the moment.

Not often do I get to enjoy one on one time with my middle child Veronica.  Jannel is 6 and helps me with the chores around the house and shopping.  Samantha is only 8 months and we get our time after baths and during feedings and many other parts of the day.  Veronica is almost 3 but doesn't like to sit still for any amount of time and listening is an afterthought.  We read stories occasionally but she usually walk off in the middle of them.   Friday however,  we got to hit the stores together.  Brian had the day off work so I gave Jannel her assignments and got Samantha all changed and fed for daddy and Veronica and I got in the car.

We went to the grocery store to get some produce for juicing and while we were there I stopped by the coffee stand Tulles to grab a sample of their white mocha.  The lady asked if my daughter could have a 'sample' of ice cream.  She gave her a sample coffee cup full of soft serve vanilla ice cream ( I didn't even know they had that there!) She was very happy so we went to the little tables they have behind the coffee bar and sat to enjoy our 'samples'.

I got to sit and look her in the eye and talk to my little angel.  She was so happy and pleasant I wondered how I missed that smile so often.  I get so caught up in her next bench mark (mostly her ability to talk or lack there of) that I miss the simple joys of just enjoying who she is.  I am so blessed  to have three very happy, beautiful, passionate daughters.  I need to slow down a bit and just enjoy who they are and who they are becoming as it happens.   Our lives together are so precious I want to embrace every moment and not try to rush through our days.  Spring has come and the adventures are ready to began this new phase in our lives!

(I've got a picture to go up as soon as I find my adapter :)
