Why I love social media
So many people are complaining about how toxic social media is and there is hardly ever any fight back. I'm at a loss because I can't see it. It's like saying food is toxic or water even. If you don't use it right then, of course, it will cause problems. Drink to much water to fast and your blood cells will explode. Social media is the same way, you have to learn how to use it.
If something is addicting, remove it, set a time for it. Moderate the way you use it. Make it something that fills you with joy. Unfollow, defriend, ignore all the things that make your head hurt and fill them back up again with blessings.
I have social anxiety, I overthink every conversation multiple times and have a hard time getting my thoughts and feelings into words during a conversation. So how do I stay in contact with friends and family who aren't close by? Honestly, I love nothing more than sitting quietly with loved ones over a cup of tea just to absorb the morning air. I can't do that with family and friends that live many miles a day.
That's where social media and google images quotes come into play. Monday is my favorite day to send a personal message/blessing/inspiration to loved ones. It just says "Hey, I'm thinking of you" sometimes it starts a conversation sometimes I simply get a smile back. Either way it fills me up and makes me feel a little more connected. I so wish I would have had this when I was younger.
Learn to love the age you're in and make each day a blessing for yourselves and others.
