Hopscotch Olimpics
Sometimes I wonder about my kids, are they not as creative or are they just more logical? Maybe it has something to do with having 3 sisters together. We just don’t have a whole lot of “Kids say the darndest things” conversation moments.
However, waiting at the bus stop I get to hear plenty of them. This kindergartener was on a roll this morning. He says “Dad watch this!” as he jumps back and forth over the lines in the sidewalk.

His dad then remarks that it “looks like hopscotch, do you play hopscotch at school?”
Kid responds, “No, I don’t play sports.” We both start laughing, well they don’t have it in the Olympics. Then the kid remarks something about hockey hopscotch. We come up with all sorts of sports of this playground game. Who knew all the adventures one could have with chalk and a stone.
Well, I’m not sure how that would play but it sounds fun. It was rather entertaining. Either way, I think it’s time to pull out the chalk.
Bus stop moments, gotta love them!
