First Day of School
First day of school! I am so blessed. I had a girl I was doing childcare for cancel on me and although I was upset by it it turned out to be a great thing. Today was the first day of Schulze Academy 2013-2014 School Year.

We did many readings:
Matthew: chapter 7 & questions
Biography: Leonardo Da Vinci "His Birth"
Geography: Intro to Marco Polo's adventures
Literature: Venice by Shakespeare
Poetry: by Blake " The Lamb"
Music: "Rhythm" in words and 4 count.
Science: Read about the Skin
2 Pages of odd and even math worksheets
Phonics: Rhyming & Syllables
Art: watch exploring a cave
History: Watch about the pyramids
Writing: copying a few lines from our reading.
Veronica looked at an ABC workbook and matched letters to pictures and talked about colors and shapes.
Then our day was mostly done and we went to the park and did some free reading. Jannel is reading Tut tut a fictional book about ancient Egypt and Veronica is looking at a Berenstain Bears book about nature. Then we went to the market to get a few things and they were treated to ice cream by Tulles Coffee (love those galls!). Home again for snack and play just as other kids are getting home from their 'school'. I am so blessed by not only the time I get to spend with my kids but the knowledge and love I get to pour into them. This is truly a great blessing!
