My exercise/diet combo. What works for me.

A little at a time. After 3 kids and having a stout body type anyhow I know my health and well being require me to be in better shape. And not the shape of a beach ball either. My Dad died of a heart attack and was otherwise very healthy at 52 at 54 my mom had a heart attack, my husband and those in his family have heart issues. So if not for my own health I NEED to put out a good example for my kids because their genetics are not going to give them a hand. This is what I do and what I use. It changes regularly but I am always moving and watching what goes in my mouth. I highly recommend MyFitnessPal for keeping track of workouts, weight, and food consumption.

Workouts:

  • AE Sports 2 on the ps3
    • awesome workout and great tracking
  • Zumba
    • decent workout, not as meany breaks, music is not desirable and tracking is none
  • Wii fit plus
    • workout is poor but gets you into a good habit, good strength training and yoga.
  • Strength: when all else fails and I have little energy left. Do a few crunches and a few lat reps on the blowflex. Strength training doesn't built muscle but helps your muscles work better at burning fat.
I know these cost money but having something that pushes you is a good thing, which is why I use the gaming method most often. If you look around you can find them for much less expensive. The AE Sports I got for $15 at a pon shop, Wii Fit we got for a trade in with some old games.

Diet:

  1. Poverty diet works the best! lol I have an addictions to food so when I don't have it in the house I don't eat it. Hard to live that way with a family of 5 but you make it work.
  2. Whole foods: I'm becoming more and more aware of what goes in my mouth and try hard to stay away from any processed foods or ingredients that are not whole food.
  3. The Fat Belly cure: which at its basics is no more than 15 grams of sugar per day and no more than 6 servings (21g each) of carbs a day. It works at first by shocking your system in a good way but after that your body gets use to it which is a good thing.
  4. Juicing: not all juice is green! But I love it, especially on those busy mornings where I don't get to sit down much. For anyone starting I highly recommend the fresh start which tastes kinda like apple juice look it up and give it a try before you knock it!
