We went to Cascade Indoor Sport for a "Christian Family Skate Night".  Jannel has been on kiddo skates that lock one way and are really nothing in comparison to real skates.  This I learned as she had absolutely no clue how to stay on them.  For the first hour we just walked back and forth around the snack stands and water fountain.  Towards the end she was finally able to go on her own.  She used a little walker thing but although it held her up it enabled her from moving because she hasn't grasped the idea of how to push off with her feet.  She did much better when I convinced her to leave it and go on her own.  Her only downfall (in every sense of the word) was when she kept trying to hang on to my arm.  Every time she would grab me she would crash.  Poor girl crashed several times right on her back but never once that night did she complain or whine but got right back up and kept on going.  We are defiantly doing this again.  It was only $5 for her to skate, skates included, and she had a blast.
